Where does FontAgent Pro for Windows store my fonts?
The first time you launch FontAgent Pro, it asks you to specify a folder location where it initializes your font database.
If you are using Windows Vista, accept the default folder of C:\Users\username\AppData\FontAgent Pro Data\ or click the Browse button to select another folder location on a hard drive on your computer.
If you are using Windows XP, accept the default folder of C:\Documents and Settings\username\FontAgent Pro Data\ or click the Browse button to select another folder location on a hard drive on your computer.
Note: When you run FontAgent Pro 4, your database will be updated as well. This new database is not backward compatible with FontAgent Pro 3. If you are running the FontAgent Pro 4 demo and think you may want to go back to version 3, make sure you back up the database before upgrading.
When you have selected where you want to store your fonts, click Create FontAgent Pro Folder and FontAgent Pro creates an empty folder in that location. Once you initialize your database, in subsequent sessions of FontAgent Pro, it will find that database and you will not see this dialog.
Note: If you move your database after you create it, the next time FontAgent Pro starts, it will be unable to find the database, and this dialog will appear again. Click the Browse button and a file selection dialog appears. Navigate to the location where you moved your database, select it and FontAgent Pro will restart as usual.
