Make sure you are using the latest version of FontAgent Pro. Please see http://insidersoftware.com/UP_index.php for information on the latest version.
Remove any other font managers, especially other auto-activation plug ins.
Make sure auto-activation is enabled in FontAgent Pro. From the FontAgent Pro menu, select Preferences, click the Activation tab, and make sure "Enable auto activation" is checked.
Make sure auto-activation plug ins are installed for Adobe and Quark applications.
To do this, make sure you have the latest version of FontAgent Pro installed.
1. Select
FontAgent Pro>Install Plug-Ins/Xtensions...
2. To install a plug-in, click the
Install button next to its application name. FontAgent Pro then installs them automatically. Click
Reveal to open the folder that contains the listed application.
3. Finish the Setup Assistant and the installer will place the plug-ins in their proper locations. To install a plug-in, click the
Install button next to its application name. FontAgent Pro then installs the plug-ins you need automatically. Click Reveal to open the folder that contains the listed application.
Clean font caches. Font caches can get out of sync by activating and de-activating fonts. To clear OS X caches, download Smasher from
http://www.insidersoftware.com/downloads/Smasher.dmg. Registering Smasher allows you to clean font caches for Adobe, Microsoft, and Quark applications also.
Verify FontAgent Pro's font libraries. In FontAgent Pro, select all your fonts or libraries and choose "Verify Fonts" from the Tools menu. FontAgent Pro checks for corrupt fonts and makes sure all font files exist. If there are errors, follow the instructions to re-import any missing or damaged fonts.
