How do I migrate my server installation to a new system?

Migrating a FontAgent Pro Server installation is very easy to do.

First, install FontAgent Pro Server on the new system.

The only folder you need to be concerned with is the /Library /FAPServer/ folder. All the fonts, user and groups information is kept in that folder. Copy that folder to the corresponding location on the new system. It is always a good idea to keep a backup of this folder just in case something should happen to the system and you need to recover FAP Server quickly.

Then add your license to FontAgent Pro in the System Preferences FAP Server pane and start it. All the fonts and user information should be identical to the previous installation.

If the new system has a different IP address, you will need to change that information on the client to successfully synchronize.
