How do I install auto-activation plug-ins? |
|
|
Most applications written for Mac OS X activate fonts automatically when documents call for them. However, since leading
applications from Adobe and Quark use proprietary font activation
functionality, FontAgent Pro provides plug-in software that you must install to enable automatic font activation in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and QuarkXPress
.
Automatically Installing Plug-ins FontAgent Pro 4.0 now offers you the option to automatically install Adobe Creative Suite and QuarkXPress plug-ins. When you first run FontAgent Pro, Step Four in the Setup Assistant will display a list of Adobe and QuarkXPress applications installed on your system. Just select the install button next to the applications you wish auto activation plug-ins to be installed and FontAgent Pro will install them automatically. ![]() If you wish to install the plug-ins yourself, click the Manual Installation button and follow the instructions that appear next. Manually Installing Auto-Activation Plug-Ins FontAgent Pro lets you elect to install auto-activation plug-ins manually rather than using its Setup Assistant. To do so, locate the plug-ins in FontAgent Pro’s application folder named /Applications/FontAgent Pro/FontAgent Pro Plug Ins.dmg. To install a specific plug-in, double-click this file to open the disk image and drop the plug in file into the appropriate folder. |
