Resolving Font Conflicts during Auto-Activation
When FontAgent Pro is set to auto-activate fonts in your documents, you might have several fonts with the same name in different libraries. FontAgent Pro uses Insider's Font Savant™ technology to resolve the conflict and help you select the correct font to activate. Resolve Conflicts Window When you open a document that has several possible matches in your collection, FontAgent Pro presents the Resolve Conflicts window, which displays the format of the font, the library , foundry , version and the relevance for each font that closely matches the font used in the document. With this information you can select the correct font needed to display the document correctly. ![]() If you create a document using an application for which you have installed an auto-activation plug-in, FontAgent Pro stores information with the document so when it is opened by another FontAgent Pro user, the correct font auto-activates. Resolve Conflicts Preferences There are several different ways you can set the Resolve Conflicts preferences to fit in best with your workflow. To specify how you want Resolve Conflicts to behave select Preferences from the FontAgent Pro menu and click the Activation tab. Under Show Conflict Resolver during auto-activation, you can s elect the following preferences: Only when a conflict between matches occurs You will be alerted only when there are more than one font that matches the auto-activation request, and be required to choose the font your wish activated. Always You will be alerted on every instance of activation, even if there is only one font that matches the auto-activation request. Never The Resolve Conflicts alert will never appear and FontAgent Pro will activate the first font it finds that matches the auto-activation request. |
