How do I set activation preferences in FontAgent Pro? |
FontAgent Pro has many advanced features that you can enable by setting preferences. Open the Preferences dialog by selecting Preferences from the FontAgent Pro menu. To manage font activation
preferences, click the Activation tab.
Enable auto-activation Enables fonts used in a document to be automatically activated when the document is opened. When auto-activation is enabled in FontAgent Pro running on Mac OS 10.5, the Automatic font activation preference in Apple Font Book is automatically unchecked at startup. Only for Adobe and Quark applications Allows auto activation for only Adobe and Quark applications. Auto activation requests from other applications will be ignored by FontAgent Pro. Show feedback during auto activation Causes the font auto-activation reporter to flash a notification dialog when fonts auto-activate. Turning this option off only suppresses the on-screen notification, but does not stop fonts from auto-activating. Show Conflict Resolver during auto-activation You can specify when you want the Conflict Resolver to appear: • Only when a conflict between matched occurs • Always: Appear every time a font is auto-activated • Never: Activate the first font found that matches the auto-activating applications request Verify fonts before activation Tests each font's integrity before it is activated. This ensures that potentially dangerous corrupted fonts are not loaded into System memory. Note that the increased processing required to do this checking may slow down font activation slightly, depending on the speed of your machine. Activate fonts in Classic Makes activated fonts available to applications in Mac OS Classic. Reactivate fonts at startup These font activation options work in conjunction with startup sets as explained below: • If no items are checked, no fonts are activated at startup. • If Include manually activated fonts is checked, fonts activated by the user are activated at startup. • If Include auto-activated fonts is checked, auto-activated fonts are activated at startup. |
