How can I import fonts installed by Mac OS X applications? |
Some Mac OS X applications install fonts in the /Library
/Application Support/ folder. When this occurs, you might notice one of the following conditions:
• Fonts listed in the Fonts menu vary from application to application • Those fonts appear in the application’s Font menu, even though you haven’t activated them To maintain application compatibility, FontAgent Pro intentionally avoids importing fonts from the /Library/Application Support/ folder. If you wish to manage application-specific fonts, please check with the application’s developer to determine which fonts can be moved safely. If so, you can import them using the Delete original fonts after importing option in the Import sheet. Note also that Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design install fonts in the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts folder. All the fonts except those in the Reqrd folder can be moved into FontAgent Pro. Those fonts must be active inside FontAgent Pro for the corresponding Adobe applications to work well if you have chosen to move them out of the original folder. |
