I have some fonts that don't appear correctly in WYSIWYG or in Font Compare and Font Player. What's up with that? |

There can be any number of reasons that the font will not display
properly in Font Player but the main reason is that the font file itself does not support the encoding used in FAP to display the characters typed in so it either displays default text (Lucida Grande) or nothing at all. Some dingbat
fonts such Wingdings display this behavior.
Another reason is that the font itself does contain glyphs for the characters you have entered in the sample text string. This could be the case for some "expert" fonts that contain only a few characters, and in the case of some foreign-language encoded fonts. |
