How does Smasher 1.x create new font-file suitcases? |
When you smash a suitcase
using Smasher 1.x, it creates new, smaller suitcases. Even though you can select separate fonts or styles from within a single suitcase or across separate suitcases, Smasher does not create suitcases larger than a single font.
Use these pointers to control how Smasher creates suitcases: • Selecting multiple fonts produces multiple suitcases. • Selecting and dragging a single font style (for example, Helvetica-BoldItalic) creates a single suitcase with just that one style. • Selecting multiple styles within a single font produces a single suitcase with all of those styles in it. • Selecting two styles within a single family and smashing them produces a suitcase with two styles. • Selecting two styles from two different fonts and smashing them produces separate suitcases, one for each style. Anything you can select and drag onto your desktop, you can also select and smash by using the Smash icon in the Smasher toolbar. Note also that selecting multiple items within and above a style or family can produce duplicate fonts. Verify what you want before you click the Smash toolbar icon or drag any selected items to the desktop. |
