How do I Smash fonts with Smasher?

To smash fonts using the Smash toolbar button, follow these steps:

1    Select suitcases, fonts and/or font styles in the Suitcases, Fonts and Styles pane.

2    Click the Smash icon in the Smasher toolbar (Command+E) and you will hear a smashing sound.

3    Use the Smash To dialog box to navigate to where you want Smasher to put your new, smashed fonts.

4    Use the New Folder button in the Smash Into dialog box to create a destination folder if you wish.

5    Click the Select button in the Smash Into dialog box when you have selected the location.

6    When the Smashing status sheet finishes indicating its progress, Smasher displays a report of those fonts that couldn't be smashed and why. Otherwise, smashed copies of all the selected fonts are created in the destination folder.

All suitcases are organized into separate folders with the fonts and/or styles in folders named after the suitcases with “folder” on the end of the folder name (i.e. Avant Garde folder).

You can also drag suitcases and fonts out of the Suitcases, Fonts, and Styles pane and onto the desktop or into a folder to smash fonts.
